Flu Season, what Ayurveda says

Ancient Wisdom can play a crucial role in the development of boosting the immune system. Ayurveda states that even if new diseases come forth, ancient methods can prove to be beneficial in the management and prevention of them. Take the Corona Virus for example, we can easily utilize ancient wisdom to harness and boost immunity.

Pay attention to the following ancient ingredients;

Star Anise- A magical ingredient that aids in all sorts of diseases. Lots of health advocates try taking star anise for respiratory tract infections, lung swelling (inflammation), cough, bronchitis, flu, swine flu, and bird flu.   In fact, Tammy flu antidote was made from it. Palo Santo -traditionally used for relieving common colds and flu symptoms. Diffuse this Essential Oil or use it for massage on various parts of the body.

Ginger - making a tea pout of ginger powder or fresh ginger can ease headaches caused by respiratory infections. Creating heat in the body to expel excess mucus.

Turmeric - Curcumin is the main ingredient in turmeric. When mixed with black pepper becomes more absorbable. It has powerful anti-inflammatory properties. It is used in various curries in Indian and Southeast Asian cooking.

Honey - honey has antimicrobial properties. It can be used for dry cough or sore throat with lemon tea. An easy one to soothe sore throats. Make sure you warm it and not heat it totally.

At least keeping these ingredients in your arsenal kits will help the body in fighting off unwanted pathogens.
