Turmeric Golden Milk Smoothie

Gold milk is an Ayurvedic drink. Its main ingredient is turmeric root (or ground turmeric), cow’s milk black pepper, and ghee or oil. You can also add things like like ginger root (or ground ginger) and unrefined sweeteners like jaggery. Curcumin is the main component of turmeric which promotes overall health. It is an antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-cariogenic, and has anti-inflammatory properties.


Ingredients

  • - 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

    - 1 ripe banana

    - 1/2 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

    - 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

    - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    - 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

    - 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

    - A pinch of black pepper (for better absorption of turmeric)

    Instructions:

    1. In a blender, combine all the ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy.

    2. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.

    3. Pour into a glass and enjoy this delicious and health-boosting smoothie packed with anti-inflammatory benefits from turmeric.
